The room had excellent tea and coffee facilities, which I found very convenient. The shared kitchen was a lifesaver for preparing quick meals, and I appreciated the clean, comfortable environment. A nice touch was the laundry available with affordable pricing. It. The room felt cramped with limited cupboard space. I struggled to find a proper place for my luggage and belongings. The window didn't close fully, allowing outside noise to disrupt my sleep. I wished for more attention to maintenance as the shower door did not close properly, leading to water on the bathroom floor. Still, the staff made my check-in smooth and were helpful when I raised my concerns about my room.

Nice little hotel located right by Randwick, and the nice restaurants forming the so-called spot. Lovely and great meals. Quiet rooms with good shower, favourable location.

The location was great (I was attending unsw Kensington campus, a 10-15 minute walk). There were lots of cafes and convenience stores within a few mins walk, and the little cafe downstairs was great for breakfast. I liked the fact that even though I didn't have a kitchenette, there was basic crockery in the room (and apparently a communal kitchen downstairs). The bed was fairly comfortable, plenty of hot water and good pressure in the shower. My room was fairly quiet. The wardrobe was good with a full-length mirror.
The decor is a little shabby (think "Fawlty Towers"), my room (a double) was small, the ensuite is very small, and a shelf for toiletries would have been helpful. But for one person, who really only needed a place to sleep, wash and watch a little tv, it was fine.

Rooms felt cramped, lacking sufficient space for luggage and personal belongings. Issues included a window that wouldn't seal properly, which let in noise, a toilet seat askew, and a shower door that couldn't close fully, resulting in water splashing onto the bathroom floor. Maintenance shortcomings persisted, with limited staff availability post-8 pm complicating any attempts for assistance. Poor cupboard space and limited Wi-Fi data were also noteworthy drawbacks.

I was genuinely impressed by how clean my room was upon arrival. The kitchen facilities provided a huge convenience . It was a delight to relax in a spacious room that was like a haven from the outside world.

Only stay one night, but have done so on three occasions now. Great value, clean, polite staff (have only met one). I've recommended the Perouse to colleague who also stay there now.

excellent air conditioning, convenient desk for working, clean facilities
The bathroom door was excessively heavy!!! Inadequate luggage space and not enough coffee and tea provided!!! Not having an iron or ironing board was disappointing!!! The location of the bathroom light switch is downright inconvenient!!!

It was in a marvellous location with The Spot nearby.
Can’t fault anything about it.

The info on bookings.com was misleading. It says an infant stays free in available bedding but this is not allowed due to fire regulations.A two person room means exactly that. This wasn't the fault of the lodge and the staff made up for the oversight at a very reasonable additional fee to our satisfaction. The girl at the front desk superfriendly and extremely helpful.
